Lehre
I have been teaching various courses for the Bachelor's degree programs in Environmental Systems Science at the University of Graz since 2017. Since 2020 I have been giving the lectures of Integral and Differential Calculus and Linear Algebra. Before that, I taught Applied Systems Science I and Computational Basics exercises for several years.

Springer Lehrbuch: Mathematische Grundlagen für Umweltsystem-wissenschaften
In 2023, Raven Adam and me published the textbook “Mathematical Foundations for Environmental Systems Science: Introduction to Differential and Integral Calculus” (in German). This book is intended to accompany the study of applied mathematics for environmental systems sciences as well as other application-oriented fields such as business administration and economics.
Bachelor's and Master's theses
I am currently accepting applications for Bachelor's and Master's theses. I mainly supervise topics related to media analysis (various aspects of climate discourse and political discourse), and public opinion and social aspects of environmental issues (e.g. climate skepticism, eco-anxiety), data analysis (regression, statistics). Methods include quantitative and qualitative media analysis, network analysis, text mining and, with sufficient prior knowledge, natural language programming (NLP). A wide range of topics in the field of environmental systems science is possible. If you would like to join an existing working group, I can suggest a suitable topic. However, you are also welcome to bring in your own topics. If you are interested, please send me a short e-mail about the general conditions and research interests.
